CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FROM INDIVIDUALS FOR REVISITING OF ECOSYSTEM AND FOREST TYPE MAPPING IN NEPAL

Government of Nepal (GoN) - Ministry of Forests and Environment (MoFE) has initiated Revisiting Ecosystem and Forest Type Mapping in Nepal. This exercise is led by Forest Research and Training Center (FRTC) and is supported by USAID's Hariyo Ban Program, and UKAID’s Policy and Institutions Facility (PIF). Revisiting of ecosystem and forest type mapping entails their comprehensive and systematic study as the existing classifications are based on limited expeditions, field studies and ground verifications. This assignment engages multi-disciplinary professionals/experts to work on a team in coordination with FRTC.  

We re-invite applications for the positions of Crew Leader – Forestry (2 positions), Crew Member – Botanist/Taxonomist for Forestry (4 positions), and Crew Member – Botanist/Taxonomist for Wetland (1 position) to work on a team for Revisiting Ecosystem and Forest Type in Nepal.

On behalf FRTC/MoFE, DFID/PIF, WWF Nepal, Hariyo Ban Program invites interested individuals/experts on above mentioned positions to work on Revisiting Ecosystem and Forest Type Mapping in Nepal. Eligible individuals/experts are requested to submit separate a cover letter and updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) no later than 5:00 PM, January 8, 2021. This is a re-advertisement for vacancy announced on July 17, 2020.
